About E-wheelchair
E-wheelchair is a unique product that we can use
way as wheelchair and stretcher. It will be a great help to the
physically challenged and old age people. It will make tremendous
transformation to the life of handicapped. There are lots of miraculous
features added, but still we are looking forward to add something for
this product. It was incorporated with automatic navigation system and
it is more necessary to hospitals. It can completely energized by
electrical recharge battery for keeping high user convenient. The
necessity of this product lies on different sectors of the society and
world. I received many mails and calls from different sectors of the
society, where the people are hopefully expecting for this devise to
reach to the market. So we suppose to bring out as soon as we possible.
It will have a great to business and for service to the city.
History of the E-wheelchair
We
had had a hard core zeal to build a something new that highly useful to
the society. And we spend lot of time to get a new idea for our
project, and then finally decided to develop a wheelchair that helps to
physically challenged people. Actually, we did this as 2 parts. We had
enjoyed both mini and main project were developed 3rd and 4th
year of B. tech in Govt. Engineering College , Wayanad. Its first part
was developed in mini project, in this part we completed following four
things: 1. Body of the E-wheelchair, 2. Moving mechanism, 3. Conversion
of wheelchair into stretcher, 4. Automatic breaking system. This was one
of the wonderful experiences in our life. We patiently looked for
second term to complete our project. In the main project, we had done
all the balance work and mainly we incorporated a navigation system with
it. Thus we fulfilled our dream project, E-wheelchair. It was a great
achievement in our life. It was taken about 14,000 Rs. To accomplished
this E-wheelchair.

Features of E-wheelchair
1. Conversion of E-wheelchair into stretcher:
It
is the most important features of our E-wheelchair. Our wheelchair can
electrically be controlled in to stretcher. All these functions are
connected and regulated with a switch. We can adjust wheelchair into
various angles between (90 to 180). Which is helpful to sit and lie in
different position as convenient to the users. Eg. A totally or
partially paralyzed can experience the advantage of it. I was operated
in back bone and suffered in the last year. At that time, I could
understand about the importance of this product.
2. Automatic moving:
It
is another feature of E-wheelchair. It can automatically move to
desired location by the power of the electrically. It is controlled by a
switch which is placed on the side of the seat. E-wheelchair allows you
to go forward, backward and can turn all the direction through the
floor by the help of navigation system; we can control the movement,
whether automatically or manually. If we mapped to use where will work
feasibly by following this map and uses instructions.
Eg:
There is a hospital with many rooms for different purposes such as for
doctors, ward and lab so on. If a patient want to go to doctors room
from the ward, he need to just press on the button corresponding to the
doctors room and vise versa.
3. Automatic breaking system:
It
is also another important feature of our product. If any barriers come
in frond of the E-wheelchair, it will automatically stopped. It is one
of the safety measures that we have added on this product. This features
feature will protect our product and users from any kind of clashes
with obstacles.
E-wheelchair
will automatically stop when it come in front of the steps or any kind
of slant depth. So it is highly secure to use by all kind of patients.
All these automatic breaking system are controlled by ultrasonic sensors
and relay system.
Area of application:
Hospitals,
old age homes, blood banks, neuron surgerical dept, ortho dept and so
on. Area of application lies in the wide sector of life and society. And
wherever the people are suffering from any kind of physical unfitness,
it should be a great help.
Business value:
The
value of this product lies in the wide necessity of the society. If
proved that I received calls and mails from different parts of the
society, many people and who are suffering from physical challenges. And
they are patiently requesting to the technology and industry to solve
and make a product to get a little bit comfort on there problems. If we
start industrial manufacturing, it will be a great achievement in
business value as well as a service to the society and coming
generation.
This
product not only help the industrial sector to grow in the Indian
market but also in the in the international market. Since there are no
similar product or services available in the world with all these new
features.
Social value
since
India is developing country and we are not enriched with the
technologies like other countries America, Japan etc. The only way to
have these technology is to import them from on of these nation, however
it is not affordable by common people in India and it won't be
nessesery that these people would be satisfied by the product they buy
from international market.
